5-Bullet Friday

Hi All

 5-Bullet Friday will be your weekly dose of random information.  Each week each bullet will follow  the same layout, with some exceptions perhaps. I hope you enjoy and begin to follow!

* What I'm reading or rereading:
       What- "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi
       Why -  We all face battles and ask questions. I love hearing peoples stories, thoughts, successes,                      and failures. This is not your typical relaxing, summer beach read but I can't recommend                      it enough.

       The Amazon review is as follows: When Breath Becomes Air is a powerful look at a stage IV lung cancer diagnosis through the eyes of a neurosurgeon. When Paul Kalanithi is given his diagnosis he is forced to see this disease, and the process of being sick, as a patient rather than a doctor--the result of his experience is not just a look at what living is and how it works from a scientific perspective, but the ins and outs of what makes life matter. This heart-wrenching book will capture you from page one and still have you thinking long after the final sentence.

* What caught my attention this week:
        This was easy.  If you haven't watched James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers push an               1,800lb sled...I suggest googling it right now!

* Fit Tip of the Week:

        Top 5 Tips to Staying Fit while Traveling

           1)  Buy a super band - the giant bands near our front entrance of the gym
           2)  Travel with a TRX
           3)  Bring multiple resistance bands
           4)  Get creative in your room- desk chair dips anyone?!
           5)  Use your body weight!

* Random Weekly Fact:
          Michael Phelps is racing a Great White Shark
          Sunday, July 23rd
          Tale of the Tape - Michael Phelps (6'4" 194lbs vs Great White Shark (15-20ft approx 2 tons)

* Thought to Ponder

          It is estimated that only 22% of American adults participate in regular, sustained physical                    activity for at least 30 minutes 5 times a week.  Grab a friend and go out for a walk-nightly!
